This case study takes us to a land down under with specialty food brand Kiwi Artisan.

After local success with their small-batch goods featuring signature Kiwi flavors, the client was looking to expand their business to food lovers all across New Zealand and Australia.

This is how a Betterly Paid Social Marketer exceeded both of the client’s CPA and ROAS goals.

The marketer started out by building a strategy—for content, creative, campaign budgeting, and targeting. First, they tested creative across platforms to find the highest performers across the consumer journey. Since Kiwi Artisans is based in New Zealand, the marketer decided to focus their campaign on New Zealand and Australia to set the foundation for expanding later on.

It was a bit of a challenge to get the content mix right, but once they figured it out, the marketer could then create a campaign plan and divide up the budget for each part of the consumer funnel. Right off the bat, they knew to focus their budget on acquisition to achieve the client’s CPA goals, so they set up an enticing “Just Pay Shipping” campaign to attract new customers.

Once the customers were warmed up and hooked on the delicious Kiwi flavors, the marketer followed up with a retargeting campaign featuring holiday packages so they could share their favorites with their family and friends.

At the end of these campaigns, the client saw incredible results—with CPAs in both New Zealand and Australia well under $5 and a 2.35x ROAS for New Zealand campaigns.
